Our wild Indians

by Richard Irving Dodge

This is an autobiographical history of U.S. Army Col. Dodge's 33 years of experiences among the Indian tribes in the American West. It contains vivid descriptions of all aspects of the every day life the people of various Indian nations. The hunting and trailing skills described were particularly interesting to me.
